To be cautious of everyone’s safety and respectful of everyone’s time when dealing with a pandemic, we decided together with NYU to postpone in person, and online www/Travel event to fall 2020. For now be safe, healthy and in social distance!

Join us on Tuesday April 7 at What's Wrong With Travel? Part 1. We will have a diagnostic panel discussion on current and future trends by bringing together progress makers in travel, and have a collaborative ideation on solutions for a sustainably better future.

The travel industry has been undergoing a renaissance of sorts over the past few years. We’re seeing a trend towards increasing personalization and an ability to curate your own travel experience rather than going through a travel agency or staying at an all-inclusive resort. This allows for more culturally immersive travel experiences, and consequently more interactions between locals and tourists. Sustainability has also become a driver within the industry, as environmental concerns - especially among younger generations - have led to the emergence of eco-tourism and travel companies that synthesize tourism and social action.

Some questions to consider:
- How will sustainability factor into the future of travel?
- How will nationalism and xenophobia affect the future of travel?
- What is the difference between a traveler and a tourist?
- How will the international hotel industry develop?
- What are the environmental consequences of mass tourism?
- How has Airbnb affected the industry's landscape?
- What are the consequences of increased tourist/local interaction?
- How do and should we react to global crises?
