Likely cause

An overloaded circuit, or a short somewhere on that circuit.

What to try first

• Unplug everything on that circuit, reset the breaker once, then reintroduce devices one at a time to isolate the culprit.
• If it trips again with nothing plugged in, stop resetting it and call an electrician — that points to a wiring fault, not overload.
